Nestled in the bluffs of Winona, Minnesota, The Driftless Retreat is a cottage in the valley just one mile from Saint Mary's University and a 10 minute drive to downtown Winona and the Mississippi River. The cottage features a private front and back entrance, large backyard, and woodburning fireplace. Our hope is that The Driftless Retreat is just that, a retreat away from the every day. We believe that every detail matters and take pride in making your time here relaxing and enjoyable.

My place is 10 minutes from downtown La Crosse, close to the airport, but you'll feel a world away. You’ll love my place because of the peace and quiet, but mostly THE VIEWS. All the modern conveniences of dishwasher, microwave, shower and stove/fridge, washer & dryer. You'll never see the same sunset! Our home/cabin is up along the bluffs allowing eagle eye views of the Mississippi River. A perfect quiet place to take everything in. There are three bedrooms intended for large families or group get-aways. Everything is at your fingertips from beaches, to hikes in the bluffs. It is 3 miles south of Winona. While you can see the river, there is easy access to public landing if you choose to bring a boat to partake in the various islands and water sports.

The Hygge (pronounced hyoo·guh) House is a tiny taste of Scandinavia in Southeastern Minnesota. What is Hygge? In short, it's a Scandinavian way of living that focuses on hunkering down and creating a safe, comforting and warm place to while away. My husband and I hand built the Hygge House with your comfort in mind. We love being cozy and having space to spend together so when the opportunity arose to renovate our studio, we wanted to share it!

Bin There, Done That inspiration came from the television series "Texas Flip N Move." During one episode, an old grain bin was moved and repurposed into a home and from that Bin There, Done That was born. Here you will find a place to relax and refresh, a farming community surrounded by nature, good eateries, and local artisans. You can enjoy a variety of experiences and at the end of your stay you can say, "I've Bin There, Done That."
