6.5 acre campsite w/20ft storage container fitted with a window and doors & raised to keep dirt out. Sits riverfront on the East river 1.5 miles upstream from the New river close to whitewater rafting. Great for camping! Bring your own Kayak or Canoe and launch directly from the site or get in touch with one of the local whitewater rafting guides. Very close to Appalachian Trail.  Very private & secluded yet close to town for provisions.  You will have a wild and wonderful time at our campsite!

Not all who wander are lost...enjoy your unique stay in our 300 sq ft container cabin, The Wanderer. The space is thoughtfully designed for a couple (with or without kids) or friends on a fun trip. Enjoy breathtaking outdoor views (especially in the fall!) gaze at the starry night, hike nearby trails throughout the New River Gorge National Park, or relax on the Summersville Lake beach just mins away! Adventurers can enjoy ziplining, whitewater rafting, and kayaking down the Gauley River.

The Hideaway on Tacketts Shipping Container

The Hideaway is the perfect getaway for a cozy, private weekend for two! It is nestled in the mountains of Hurricane, WV. It has a serene view of the mountains and a fully stocked pond, ready for fishing. You will have the entire home to yourself, complete with a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. On the deck there is a hot tub and a fire pit directly below. You will also have access to Meeks Mountain Trails, so bring your bikes and walking shoes!
