Sept 25 | The store has just had some upgrades to make your stay more comfortable while still in keeping with an upcycled rustic shed on a rural property 3km from Matakana - ply interior, concrete floors covered with jute rugs and kilims, and a covered outdoor space to relax and bbq. A rustic country theme which will not suit guests wanting new and modern. Our linen bedding, hand loomed cotton towels, handmade ceramics and Real World products add some luxury. If you want to explore or relax closer to the cottage, the beach is only 500m away.

Our space is great for travelers who enjoy wineries, breweries, cafes, beaches, walks, cinema (boutique), Saturday markets, Goat Island and a variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have a great new grocery shop and a local pub within walking distance.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

Warkworth Good Life, Self-Contained Unit + Ensuite

An “eco-oasis” in the township of Warkworth for you to relax in a stylish bedroom and lounge accommodation with ensuite. There is a music studio underneath the apartment and music lessons might take place on Fridays in the day time and on Tuesday night. There are coffee and tea making facilities, decent size fridge, crockery and cutlery but no cooking facilities or cooking permitted. 10 minutes walk to Warkworth township with restaurants and cafes.
