A rustic mud brick cottage set on 21ha of river red gum forest. The property is listed as a wildlife sanctuary and is home to a diverse range of birds and animals. Bordered by the Edward River, just a 10 minute walk from the house, the property also features a large dam popular with birds, frogs, kangaroos and wallaroos. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of an echidna in the bush or a platypus is the river. There is a boat ramp nearby should you wish to fish or explore the river by boat.

101 Love Shack

Our rustic 1903 mud-brick studio is made from river sand and mud sourced from the local Great Western area. The studio was built as a fruit kitchen by the Patching family who owned and operated a number of orchards along Concongella Creek and Salt Creek. The fruit kitchen has been recently renovated into a 1-bed studio which offers history and modern comforts. The cottage is surround by farm land meaning there is an abundance of animals to watch and enjoy, including Kangaroos.

Forest Walks

We hope you love our place, which has a beautiful rural environment that gives easy access to forest tracks, lakes, and beaches. Our 2-bedroom accommodation is in a tranquil rural location, five kilometers from Lakes Entrance. Across the road is Colquhoun Forest, with excellent walking and cycling tracks. A private wing of an established mud brick home, you'll particularly enjoy the charming courtyard and front area that gets the morning sun.

Enjoy a relaxed and private stay in this artistic and cosy rammed earth bungalow. Set in a peaceful garden on the edge of the township of Mansfield, you are close enough to town to easily walk but still have the feeling of space and serenity. PLEASE NOTE: there is no television or wifi in the bungalow. There is a small kitchen which includes fridge, kettle, toaster, electric hotplate, microwave oven and there is access to a Weber barbeque
