Ironbark Cottage, Karuah

Ironbark Cottage provides simple self-contained, self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people in a quiet bush setting 2 kms west of Karuah. Just off the Pacific Highway, the cottage is 20 mins to Raymond Terrace & Medowie, 30 mins to Hawkes Nest beaches, 30 mins to Newcastle Airport (Williamtown), 45 mins to Nelson Bay or Newcastle, 1 hour to the Hunter Valley and 2.5 hours to Sydney. There is plenty of parking space for a boat, caravan or trailer and a fenced yard and kennel for pets.

Nestled on 7 acres of native bushland, this architect designed home boasts complete privacy and commands spectacular views across to the Barrington Tops through its extensive North facing windows. We have 2 bedrooms with king sized beds, one which splits into two singles.

Claret Ash Cottage is a beautiful 1890's mining cottage nestled in the hamlet of Elderslie, Hunter Valley. The cottage accommodates up to 6 guests and suits those wanting to wind down by the fire pit in winter or on the back deck watching the sunset in summer - whilst enjoying the bounty of the Wine Country region. A picturesque 25 minute drive will have you in the heart of the wineries during the day - then back to Claret Ash Cottage by night to wine, dine and admire the view.

Please be aware your luggage needs to be carried from your car park at the top of the hill, down approximately a 100m grassed hill, then back up again. A tree change and sea change all in one. Medowie is the place of tall trees and is only a 30 minute drive from picturesque Nelson Bay. Newcastle airport is a 10 minute drive away and Newcastle city is only a 40 minute drive or a 5 minute ferry ride from the Stockton ferry terminal. A great way to avoid the drive into town, the ferry terminal is a short 20 minute drive from Medowie and Stockton beach is also a great place for beach activities.

The Cabin is located in the back of an established home with on street parking available or private space out the back.
