Cedar House - Studio Guest House

Welcome to The Cedar House, a studio guest house detached from our main house. You will have separate entrance, private bathroom. Wood floors and ceilings and the woods you see through the windows give it the feeling of a cabin. The queen bed is in the loft and you must be able to use the stairs to get to it! There is a queen sleeper sofa on the main level for more sleeping. Upon request, 4 additional single air mattresses and bedding are available. Space is available for a baby pack-n-play.

The house has a cabin feel with cathedral ceiling and open floor plan plus lots of natural light in a peaceful, quiet location. The back yard is Tolt MacDonald Park, 574 acres, a favorite for mountain bikers and trail walkers alike. Relax out in the woods! This is a one room cabin fully set up for a single guest. There is a double hot-eye burner for cooking. There is a coffee-maker and water boiler for tea. One twin bed and floor pad by request. Comes with WIFI, and usually around two to four bars of cell service depending on your carrier. There is a small hot water tank, so quick 5 minute showers. View of a nice yard and pond which sometimes has blue heron and wild ducks. The morning birds sound incredible.

The studio is in a detached garage that overlooks beautiful sunrises, the barn, pastures & the occasional deer stopping by to say "Hi". To ensure a warm & inviting stay, we've stocked up with good coffee, flannel sheets & lots of pillows & blankets. Cozy up by the fireplace & enjoy quiet, dark nights, perfect for listening to the neighborhood owls. Our hope is that you leave feeling rested and refreshed.

Please note - no lake or dock access available at this property. The apartment is in the basement of our house, but you'll have exclusive access to it via a separate entrance. We live in the house upstairs, so will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Hygge House is a modern loft guesthouse with a mix of Mid Century, Rustic and Scandinavian décor. Hygge House is a place of warmth and welcome. It's tucked away in alley with its own private entrance and parking spot. Loft has natural wood elements that give a warm and cozy feel to the space. Property owners live in the main house that is detached from Hygge House. The Hygge House is behind the main house and is in a different building in the alley.
