The Cuckoo's Nest Glamping Huts: Woody

This is one of two glamping huts at The Cuckoo’s Nest. Inspired by traditional Celtic roundhouses these little wooden huts are situated in the beautiful remote crofting township of Locheynort in the Isle of South Uist. Conveniently located approximately a mile from the main road linking the Isles of Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula and North Uist, the huts offer an idyllic base from which to explore the islands, to pause whist travelling along the Hebridean Way, or to take a relaxing short break.

Gillen 1&2 is a spacious house on the Waternish peninsula with stunning sea views to the Ascrib islands, Trotternish peninsula and Outer Hebrides. Situated at the township road end, Gillen 1&2 is accessed a short way along a track offering privacy and remoteness. The perfect retreat for walking, relaxing or family getaway, with lounge (cosy wood-burner), dining kitchen, two en-suite bedrooms and large hallway with library/seating area. Fabulous self-catering apartment for 2 people (+1 small/medium sized dog). This 18th Century cow byre has been lovingly restored by the owners, retaining the original stone walls. An ideal space to get away from it all, enjoy peace and quiet in front of a wood-burning stove, whilst taking in the amazing views from Lochbay to the Outer Hebrides. 2 bedroom caravan with gas central heating. Master bedroom has a Double size bed an en suite and plenty storage. Second bedroom consists of 2 single beds and storage. Main bathroom has a fully closed walk in shower. The Kitchen/living area is open plan with a large fridge freezer, gas cooker, microwave, kettle & toaster. The living area has a 32" smart tv with freeview, electric fire and 2 recliner sofas. The living room opens out on to a patio area via double patio doors.

Relax at this beautiful and peaceful cottage. Loch Bracadale Cottage next door can also be found on Airbnb. The house has 2 bedrooms with sleeping for up to 4 persons. The master bedroom with en suite shower room/toilet is on the ground floor with a view over the Loch and a small double and a single upstairs. There is also another toilet downstairs. In view of the bed/bathroom facilities the house is perhaps best suited to either a couple/a couple with younger children.
