There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.

Guests will be able to explore the surrounding countryside, beaches and restaurants before coming back to enjoy the beauty of the hut. We have a host of wildlife in the orchard including pheasants, woodpeckers, barn owls and honey bees. However you choose to relax our luxurious shepherd's hut is the perfect space to unwind.

This quiet countryside spot is also ideal if all you want to do is sit and relax.
