A couple of rundown industrial buildings (it used to be a gas factory), now turned into a cultural hotspot with events, a city beach (with sand!), a bar and a really great atmosphere. When the weather is nice, you will find lots of people swimming and enjoying the sun in beach chairs. You can grab food and drinks from the fridges.

Take the free Buiksloterweg ferry to Tolhuistuin (or THT). It used to be only a small hidden park (don't forget to visit that too), but now it's also a nice restaurant and a music venue.

It's really worth a visit. If you go on a weekday, you can also stroll along the Ten Kate market around the corner of the entrance. The neighborhood is really lively and there are lots of cafés and bars.
