Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

Sólsetur (Sunset) Syðri-Haga

Gisting í friðsælu umhverfi skammt frá bænum Syðri-Haga á Árskógsströnd. Útsýni til hafs og miðnætursól. Tignarleg fjöll og hlýlegir dalir, frábærar gönguleiðir við allra hæfi. Sumarhúsið Sólsetur er 25 fm, byggt 2016 - 2017 í húsinu er eitt svefnherbergi með svefnaðstöðu fyrir tvo. auk þess er svefnsófi fyrir tvo í stofu. Í bústaðnum er ísskápur með litlu frystihólf, eldavél, ofn með örbylgjuofni og sjónvarp. Borðbúnaður er fyrir fjóra. Heitur pottur og gasgrill er á verönd.

Moreover, in each apartment you will find two bathrooms with showers. Everything newly built in a modern but homie style. It‘s central location is optimal to get the most out of your vacation. Being surrounded by stunning icelandic nature and opportunities for outdoor activities.

There is a small kitchenette in the room with an electric hob, fridge, electric kettle, toaster, microwave and kitchenware. Guesthouse Hvítafell is in a perfect place, in the north. Apartment A offers peace, privacy, and breathtaking views on our serene Icelandic farm. Unwind in the shared geothermal hot tub and cold plunge, surrounded by pure nature and crisp mountain air. On clear winter nights, you might see the Northern Lights above and enjoy crystal-clear water flowing straight from our mountain, Staðarhnjúkur. 10 minutes drive to Akureyri and a lot of activities nearby. Bakkakot 1 is one of our cabins in the woods with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. A relaxing retreat in the Icelandic countryside with TV, DVD, well equipped kitchen, bathroom, WiFi, games and books, grill (during summer) and a shared hot tub area. We are located 20km from Akureyri so this cabin is the perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet, nature, northern lights or just a great base on the Arctic Coastway.

Litla Stella, Skútustaðir 2a by Lake Myvatn

A little cabin built in year 2015 in an amazing location in the wonderful Lake Myvatn area. Surrounded by nature and birdlife you'll feel right at home in our cozy cabin, with a kitchen, queen size bed, full bathroom and a big hot tub. Self catering. Hot tub access. Beautiful views only few steps from the cabin. The pseudo craters in the north and the wetland and the mountains in the south and east.

Cosy cottage in the countryside

Hvoll is a farm with horses, sheeps, dog and a cat. It is located in Þingeyjarsveit by road 854. It is a perfect location if you want to enjoy the countryside and visit some of the beautiful places in north Iceland, like: Lake Myvatn (30 km away), Húsavík (27 km away), Goðafoss waterfall (17 km away) and Dettifoss waterfall (68 km away). Small house no. 3 - great view!

The house is one of three new modern houses at Sunnuhlíð. Opened in February 2015. The houses are especially designed for a couple or a small family traveling on their own in Iceland. Guests can enjoy the beautiful view of Eyjafjördur and Akureyri.

Lítið sumarhús 15 m2 með einu svefnherbergi. Í svefnherberginu er 160x200 cm rúm. Baðherbergi er með sturtu, vaski og salerni. Þá er einnig lítil eldhúsaðstaða með helluborði, örbylgjuofni, ísskáp og helstu eldhúsáhöldum, borð og 2 stólar.
