MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 3-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. It typically has good cell phone coverage and we have wifi. Light and airy guest suite attached to main level of our family home. Includes one queen bed, full bath with shower, and kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave, tea/coffee facilities, toaster and sink. Shared barbeque located on lower level. Small private patio off the back of the suite and parking in front. There are no shared spaces in the suite. The Wild Chicken Holiday Suite with Coffee Bar!

Welcome to "The Wild Chicken Holiday Suite" We are situated 1 km from the National Park and 5 minutes to downtown Cheticamp. The suite has a dream coffee bar with excellent coffee and tea choices as well as other hot beverages too. You will also be delighted with fresh that morning seasonal muffins that I make and forage the fruit for! You also have your own private deck and entrance with a table and umbrella! As a guest you have full access to the fire pit with wood included! NO MICROWAVE.

Situated on a hillside overlooking the historic St. Ann’s bay, the Old Trail cabin is conveniently located just 5.5km from the start of the Cabot trail and the Gaelic College. A great spot to start or finish your Cabot Trail adventures! The cabin is designed to feel as open and airy as possible for a small space. The bedroom has a queen bed and the loft has a single bed. Kitchenette has coffee maker, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. All amenities needed are only 15 mins away in Baddeck.

The Cottage is fully equipped with everything you will need. Beach access at the Community Hall minutes up the street. Just a minute away from the Englishtown Ferry to the Cabot Trail. In the middle of it all 20 mins to Baddeck, 25 mins to North Sydney and 40 mins to Ingonish and Cape Breton Highlands National park.

Woodsy Cabin on the Bras d'Or

Beautiful, rustic cabin sits cozily surrounded by woodlands. This one room retreat boasts a south west vista of the Bras d'Or Lake, includes a veranda with gorgeous sunsets, king size bed and access to the beach. It is half way between Baddeck and Sydney and a perfect spot for anyone travelling the Cabot Trail. Firewood provided for fire pit if the burn ban is not in effect. Kayaks are available to use at your own risk, with life jackets, and if you are experienced in paddling.

R&D Retreat

This small traditional Acadian-style home is just off the Cabot Trail, and a 5 minute drive to the popular Gypsum Mine. This home is a cozy retreat if you are looking to explore the National Park and its hiking trails, or in the winter, the many snowmobile trails in the Highlands (lots of parking for machines/trailer). You will be a 15 minute walk down the road to the ocean and the Buttereau swimming spot, and the infamous Aucoin's Bakery is just a hop, skip and jump away.
