Situated on the beautiful, peaceful island of Hrísey in the middle of Eyjaförður. The house sits on the water's edge with stunning views of the fjord and mountains where you can sometimes watch the whales and dolphins. PLEASE NOTICE: The island is located in the northern part of Iceland. It is a five-hour drive from Reykjavik. And you need to take a ferry to get there. No cars, pedestrians only. The ferry departs from the fishing port of Árskógssandur every two hours and only takes 15 mins.

The town has famous beautiful cliffs called Basalt Columns located just by our famous swimming pool only 1 minutes walk from the Cosy house! The swimming pool is a "must" for bathing lovers with it's wonderful view out over the fjord of Skagafjörður. The local shop (KS Hofsós) is open daily but closed on Sundays during winter season.
