Shibu Onsen is a traditional hot spring resort with a townscape full of nostalgia. The steam from the hot springs that colors the town and the natural scenery that changes with the seasons embrace visitors. Established in the Meiji era, Ikariya Ryokan has been welcoming guests in the heart of historic Shibu Onsen for many years. There are nine public bathhouses in Shibu Onsen, and visitors staying at Shibu Onsen can enjoy a nine-bath tour also known as "yakuyoke-junyoku-sotoyu meguri".
