Located in the rugged hills just 3 miles from downtown Salida, and 2 miles from extensive hiking and mountain biking trails, this home offers the perfect combination of rural quiet and small town amenities. Several of the home's stylish features were constructed from barn wood salvaged from an old Missouri farm, as well as other recycled materials, thanks to the owners' earth-conscious habits (and impeccable taste!)

Steps from your front porch is Alpine Park’s spacious green space, along with basketball courts and play ground. Alpine Park also hosts the weekly farmers market (Saturdays May-Oct). Cottage is 25 minutes to Monarch Ski Resort, 25 min to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs.

Built-in 2015, it's featured in the "Small House Book" by Lloyd Kahn. It's clean and modern yet warm and cozy. One bedroom has a queen bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds (AC in bedrooms). The main living space has a garage door that opens to the back patio. It's a hop, skip, and a jump from all you need, from biking and hiking trails, restaurants, shops, the playground, the amphitheater, and the river.
