Parks & Nature
The lake has a nice bicycle- and pedestrians path all around. There are free water refill spots so bring your own bottle. Perfect distance for runners (around 5km). A run from the house around the lake is 7 km.

The westerpark is great for sunny days. Do as the locals and bring something to sit own and your own beers or wine. Or do it the fancy way and sit down on one of the many terracess of the bars in the park. If you want to make it a late night; there are a few bars and clubs here to go one till late.

Or do it the fancy way and sit down on one of the many terracess of the bars in the park. If you want to make it a late night; there are a few bars and clubs here to go one till late.
I think one of my favourite spots of Amsterdam. A huge park where you can walk and bicycle for hours. In the middle there is a 1937 rowing lake which is still actively being used today.

Still THE place to go to in Amsterdam if you like steak. Order it medium, gravy and white bread on the side. I travelled the world but always come back to Loetje.

Arts & Culture
It's a cliche, but you must have been to the Rijksmuseum before you leave Amsterdam. Especially after the renovation its a museum with not only a great collection but also great architecture. Be sure to get online tickets beforehand, can be very busy in high season.
