Classic Jewish deli. I grew up on this corned beef. Unique to them is the signature "Hopple Popple" in which chunks of corned beef, potatoes, & onions are scrambled with eggs. So good.

Started as a cafe/coffee shop, they've really made a name for themselves in the MKE food scene. Huge portions, good number of vegetarian options, & just good food. I suggest the artichoke melt & bloody mary :) Budget friendly as you def get a good amount of food for your $.

Yes, many shows come through here, but the space itself is a real star. I've worked in theater for about 15 years, coast to coast & a bit internationally, but the Pabst is still one of the most beautiful theaters I've seen.

My house is a block from a beautiful beach! Designed as a bird & butterfly waystation, it's a great place to sit & enjoy nature or a book, good company, or a picnic. Playgrounds both at the top & bottom of the bluff. Waves crashing or lapping. Amazing sunrises. Need I say more?

Beergarden on premises. Also a dog park, a frisbee-golf course, soccer fields, the oldest house in Milwaukee (built 1843), secluded trails along the river, and my fav nearby sledding hill :) Driving through it's winding street after dark will commonly reveal at least a few deer.
