Another super restaurant just down the block! Wonderful food awaits, as well as great customer service, and great drinks. They often have live music Monday nights! The Local is a great place for those who care about the quality and source of their food, but there is something for everyone, even picky eaters. It's our best choice for the whole family or when we have parents come into town.

I love found market (located next door to the Belmont Arts Collaborative) because of their top notch customer service and their adorable and eclectic space. You can go and get some work done, have some wonderful baked goods (including some great gluten-free options!), buy gifts, take a class, or just enjoy the decor.

Incredible tacos, great price, and located at the IX Art park. It only takes about 15 minutes to walk there from our place and they have vegan, paleo, GF, and Keto options. Go next door to SweetHaus for dessert if you dare! I recommend the "I Love you So Much" taco!

Our favorite movie theater is on the downtown mall. They have incredible food (and drinks!) you can eat at your seat - and speaking of seats - the front row reclines!

You can spend ALL day on the downtown mall, from coffee to after dinner drinks. You really can't go wrong with any of the restaurants or places to shop. We have such an eclectic mix of places and there is something for everyone!

Getting Around
We love Amtrak and you can get to the station quickly by Lyft or Uber, or take the trolley from the Downtown Mall.

The CAT bus line is great, but we especially love the free trolley. You can walk to the Water street bus station to catch it and take a self guided tour around UVA grounds and back downtown.
