Fonda La Catrina has really good mexican food and a great atmosphere. In the summer time they open up their back patio, which is the perfect place for a refreshing margarita.

All City Coffee sits at the heart of Georgetown and is certainly worth a visit. They serve great coffee and have a small selection of pastries and baked goods.

Via Tribunali is a great spot for fresh, wood-fired pizzas (Neapolitan style). The setting is dimly lit and somewhat rustic...perfect for a romantic dinner. The Georgetown location is unique in that they deconstructed a 100-year-old pizzeria from Naples, shipped it to Seattle, and rebuilt it in Georgetown.

Jules Mae's is the oldest bar in Seattle, opening for business back in 1888. This is a great spot to grab a bite to eat or get drinks. The interior is reminiscent of the saloon days and they have live music, ping pong, pinball, and air hockey in the back.

Hitchcock Deli is a great spot for sandwiches and salads. They only use local and organic produce and meats. And they do all of their curing and/or smoking in-house.

Deep Sea Sugar & Salt is an amazing cake shop located just around the corner on 6601 Carleton Ave S. It's basically behind our unit, on the other side of the block. Stop in to buy a slice of cake, or a cupcake, from their rotating selection. They also have an assortment of baked goods, specialty sodas, and even some staple items for sale. And the space is setup really well, with some areas for people to sit and hang out. They are open Tues-Sat 11am-7pm and Sun 11am-5pm.

Star Brass is one of my favorite spots in Georgetown. I've always enjoyed going there be it for drinks or a bite to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are all great people. Check it out if you get the chance.

Seward Park is a great spot to get outside for some fresh air and/or exercise. It has a great walking/running/biking trail that loops around the perimeter of the park, along the edge of Lake Washington. And there are a number of trails that zig-zag through the middle of the park, putting you within the old growth forest that still remains. The park is 300 acres, with about 120 acres of old growth forest still intact. This is where I venture to when I want to get away from the "city".

Alki Beach, located in West Seattle, offers stunning views of Elliot Bay and the Olympic Mountains. There are lots of shops and restaurants located along the waterfront. And there are great views of the Seattle skyline on your drive there.

Olympic Sculpture Park is operated by the Seattle Art Museum and is well worth the visit. The park is free and consists of a really nice walking path with sculptures of different sizes and shapes littered throughout. The walkway zig-zags back and forth all the way down to the waterfront.
