Possibly the UK’s best farmers market, and boasting one of the area’s best restaurants. Beautiful Kentish produce, great local wines, nose to tail butchery, fish, cheese, biodynamic fruit and veg, and bread so good you’ll buy the whole bakery

Parks & Nature

With stunning views across the Wye Downs AONB, this hiking spot is a favourite at any time of year. Well worth timing your walk for sunset on the ridge before heading to one of Wye's cosy pubs for a drink.

Offering dramatic views across the windswept peninsula, Dungeness is reputed to qualify as Britain's only desert due to it's having such low rainfall. Listed as a Site of Specific Scientific Interest, Dungeness is a remarkable place, almost other worldly. It's several curios include the Acoustic Mirrors at RAF Denge, Prospect Cottage, home to the artist Derek Jarman, The Seven Lighthouses and Lighthousemens' Dwellings, Dungeness B Nuclear Power Station, Dungeness Bird Observatory, and celeb spotting over fish & chips at The Pilot. Dungeness also serves as the terminus for Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway, est. 1927, a quaint way to see the marsh.

So much to see you'll need an early start, this historic defensive keystone has stood guarding The Channel from invaders from Roman times to WW2. Hellfire Corner is a must see. A great family day out
