Public transport use
We are close to the Fruitvale Train Station and various different buses that will take you into New Lynn, central Auckland, Onehunga and beyond. If you're going to be in Auckland and use public transport a few times, then you will save a lot of money if you purchase a Hop card (which is a pre-paid transport card). You can do this at the New Lynn Transport Centre or Britomart. The AT (Auckland Transport) website and app have up to date travel information.

Local Parks
There are a few local parks around, Archibald, Ken Mauder and Archibald has a boat ramp for kayaking and other water sports and a big-ish playground. Ken Mauder is used for lots of different sports, but is a nice way to walk into New Lynn as well. Manuka Park is the closest and is very small but has a little playground for kids.
