Rocky Butte is one of the chain of cones of the extinct volcano Mt. Tabor. It has a 360 view of all of Portland and is a vigorous uphill walk from the studio, or a 2 minute drive. It is an incredible view, even on a cloudy day.

Mount Tabor is an extinct volcano turned into a national park. You climb several hundred stairs to reach the top and it is absolutely beautiful and serene. There are also a number of easy (and very quick) hiking trails in the park, but most sit on the crest and enjoy the view.

The now world famous Voodoo Donuts has an eastside location. Get your sweet tooth fix with a memorial tribute donut, or some of the old faves. You will likely stand in line with other tourists for your favorite donut concoction.
