This Starbucks is in downtown Kirkland, about a 30-minute walk away (about a mile). It's close to the Kirkland waterfront, boutique shopping, and Park Lane, which has galleries and other shops. On a sunny day, get a cold drink and stroll down to Marina Park and hang out on the grass or wade in the water.

Lots of heavy dark wood decor like... a lodge. We've had lunch here a couple of times and it was good. Not outstanding, but good. Try the chicken and pear salad. Good beer on tap. On sunny days they open up the storefront and that's worth the price of admission right there. (Last visited in February, 2018)

Upscale southwest cuisine. We thought it was good but not great. Compare to Cactus on Park Lane - while we liked Milagro, we think the food is better at Cactus. Outdoor seating on warm days - a good spot for a cold adult beverage on a nice afternoon. Not much in the way of water views, but a great spot for a waterfront stroll after a meal. Parks & Nature

This nature park is set on a former 9-hole golf course. There are paved paths and boardwalks to make it easier for you to explore this beautiful waterfront area, and there are places with views of downtown Seattle across the water. This is a nice spot to watch the sunset as well. You will likely see great blue heron in the shallows, and lots of different kinds of waterfowl. If you are lucky, you will see bald eagles circling overhead looking for lunch. From time to time beavers are active in the park, and if you look closely you will see evidence of their work in the bark of the tree. On sunny days turtles warm themselves on floating logs, and red-wing blackbirds call to each other.
