An easy walk downhill through Tanera Park and onto Epuni St (or through Central Park and up Aro St), this is a great spot for a weekend coffee or brunch.

Simply stunning food, locally sourced and put together by real foodies. Parks & Nature
Lovely to walk through and really close to our place. There are multiple tracks through and a children's play area with a flying fox. You'll find a lot of native birds in Central Park now, thanks to the Zealandia sanctuary, especially kaka and tui, but also recently spotted some native falcons, kārearea.

Arts & Culture
Te Papa is in a wonderful location on the waterfront, so it's well worth a wander around there anyway, but Te Papa itself is a great place to take the family. It is free to enter and has some wonderful permanent and changing exhibits. Some of the temporary exhibitions have a cost to enter. The cafe and gift shop are great too.

Cuba Street is a great street to wander down, from the very top which is a 10 minute walk from here, all the way down to the mall. Lots of cafes and shops and just an interesting way of getting into the central city.

This is our dairy of choice, actually more of a small food market. Really nice people and a good range of things if you can't get to a supermarket. Fruit is really good.
