This place has lovely, well-marked hiking trails. You can hike about 4 miles there, right in the heart of the city. Lots of families and people with dogs. Really lovely ambience.

Murray Park has more than just a dog park, but it has a very large, well-kept dog park that I frequent on a regular basis. Be advised there are three entry gates. Don't go through the main one if your dog is reactive through the fence, that one tends to get mobbed.
