Good as dessert, light dinner, brunch, or anytime. This place is a must. Not your normal waffle. My favorite is jalapeno raspberry preserves, cream cheese, and bacon for my savory selection and specolous, bananas, and strawberries for my sweet selection. The hubby loves the eggs Benedict. Closed on Sundays. Can get very busy on Saturdays.

Great place to relax outside and listen to live bands. Featured on an episode of Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins. Must try the Armadillo Eggs (brisket stuffed jalapenos). Yum!

Best curry anywhere! This is a hidden gem. Our favorite is the Panang curry followed by the Kang Keo Waan green curry. One curry dish is enough to share, though you may be tempted to try another. Large wine selection.

A local favorite. Voted best burger in the Houston area by someone ....somewhere.... Try the Squealer, it was always our favorite. To be honest, nowadays we just head down to Five Guys over going to Tookie's.

Really good authentic Italian Seafood restaurant. Simple, delicious dishes. They have a fantastic brunch buffet on Sundays. Great place to dine outside when we are having nice weather. Actually, I think it is best to eat here during the day when you can sit outside. The inside of the restaurant is very old and unimpressive. We may hold this restaurant on a higher pedestal than maybe we should because we were married there (they have a beautiful courtyard on the water).

Fresh and delicious Greek food. Love the gyro meat! My favorite dishes are the Gyro Pita with Tzatziki and Pasta Aiglio with Gyro. They have great mixed drinks. Good place to sit on the patio and people watch while sipping on a Bahama Mama. Try their Galaktoboureko for dessert (note that it takes a little extra cooking time so you may want to order it when your dinner arrives).

Good place to sit on the patio and people watch while sipping on a Bahama Mama. Try their Galaktoboureko for dessert (note that it takes a little extra cooking time so you may want to order it when your dinner arrives).
For simple yet delicious eats, check out the Hoagie Ranch (this ain't no subway). We recommend the Annie Oakley Hoagie ordered Hot (not cold) with all the trimmings.
