This place is, without any doubt, the best restaurant in North Alabama. If it were in New York or Chicago, it would be on those lists, too. It's that good. The food is absolutely outstanding, the bar is one-of-a-kind and the service is top-notch. A trip here without dinner at Odette would be a mistake!

Don't write it off because of the name... but Yumm has excellent sushi and thai food. I highly recommend it.

The birthplace of the Muscle Shoals Sound. Aretha Franklin, Etta James, the Allman Brothers... they all recorded here. I've recorded here, too... and it's magic! They give tours... so call ahead. This is one of the most important sights in American Music.

Billy is a guy who did what he wanted, how he wanted, on his terms... and made the world notice. That's the kind of folks we have in Florence.

World-famous women's fashion designer Natalie Chanin keeps her flagship shop (and amazing cafe) nestled away in the middle of an industrial park. Don't let that scare you off, though. This is a great glimpse of community in a town that has that magic in spades.
