Nice hip in the western suburb with pretty decent selection of craft beers. They have acoustic live music , standup comedy, etc.. Definitely a good hipster hangout in footscray

Parks & Nature
Bicycle tracks follow its banks, crossing the river via pedestrian bridges at several points. Many people use these trails to get to Brimbank Park.
this waters provide good canoeing and three ponding points have been designed to enable children and adults to discover the delights of catching fish with a hand net.
The park has barbecues, picnic tables and shelters, and a shared cycle/walking path starts in the park and continues on to Footscray.

Footscray Market is a large indoor market with a large range of produce and general goods opposite Footscray Railway Station.
Entry is free.
This frenetic covered food market is laden with seductive produce: you'll find lotus flowers, pigs' ears, coriander and cassava root.
There's also an excellent range of fresh seafood, some of it still swimming.
From the food court, take the lift to the top floor for a giddying view over the railway and docklands to the city and West Gate Bridge.

This frenetic covered food market is laden with seductive produce: you'll find lotus flowers, pigs' ears, coriander and cassava root.
There's also an excellent range of fresh seafood, some of it still swimming.
From the food court, take the lift to the top floor for a giddying view over the railway and docklands to the city and West Gate Bridge.

1. Free samples of delicious tropical fruit in winter. There's nothing like biting into a creamy custard apple or juicy papaya in winter. Instant mental transportation to the fair and dreamy isles.
2. The cheapest avocados in the western world. Last week I bought 12 perfect avocados for 7 dollars. This should be enough to make you drop everything and run to Footscray but if it isn't, I give you number 3....
3. Stuffed tofu (legendary)
4. Those little Vietnamese crepes with minced pork and fish sauce. I like to bring them to work and annoy all my sour puss co workers with their delicious stank.
5. Bags of limes for 2 dollars. It's constantly margaritaville at my house now.
