Right next to Tower Theater, this place is a must see. Amazing collection of ethnic art on the walls from around the world. The food is great! The desserts are wonderful. Everything from their traditional bean soup, to exotic ethnic dishes from around the world. Lovely garden eating or inside seating. Casual and medium priced. A local go-to place.

Amazing healthy delicious food, with tons of options. From pizza, to hot dinners, that remind you of good home cooking. Low key, and well priced. A farm to fork ambassador.

Delicious food, though a little heavy on the meat. They smoke and barb-q, and serve lots of southern food favorites. It's in an old victorian, and has lots of local charm. They have weird hours so check ahead, but it's worth a visit for sure.

Sightseeing

right on the Sacramento River at Tower Bridge, this is a historically preserved area with lots of tourist attractions, including the famous Railroad Museum. Also shops and restaurants, and cobblestone streets, and original old west buildings. The home of the first pony express, Supreme Court, Delta King River Boat, which has an excellent restaurant and bar, sitting right on the river.

Essentials

Like Whole Foods, but way, way better. All organic produce, lots of healthy pre-made options. Everything is thoughtfully sourced, and the prices are much better than Whole Foods. Possibly the best grocery store anywhere.

An excellent small, well stocked, gourmet grocery store right in our neighborhood. Lots of pre-made options, plus a full deli and butcher counter.

Entertainment & Activities

A Land Park/Sacramento icon. The theater that spawned Tower Records. It's a 1930's deco theater that specialized in independent and foreign movies. Definitely the best place to see a movie in Sacramento. Especially if you see it in the main theater. The have 3 screens.
