Great non-chain restaurants
The Orlando area is full of chain restaurants, and while there are some solid offerings...sometimes you just want something different. Here are some options that are unique and tasty.

They don't take reservations, but you can do call ahead seating...do it because this place is always busy! Indoor and outdoor seating, and a great happy hour offering weekday afternoons.

The place itself isn't coming up to choose, so I just put the address. Cherry Pocket is off the beaten path, hidden away at a fish camp. About a 25-30 minute drive from Regal Palms...but totally worth the drive. Both indoor and outdoor seating, but if it is nice make sure to choose outdoor! You can't beat the fish sandwich. This place isn't fancy, but it is delicious and admittedly quirky :)

Right on the property at Regal Palms is Frankie Farrell's. Solid pub food and you can't beat the convenience. Not super fancy, but pick up a menu at the front desk because they deliver to the homes at Regal Palms, so if you aren't up to going out or cooking you can just have them deliver.

Drinks & Nightlife
There is a bar & restaurant right on-site at Regal Palms and it is a solid offering...but sometimes you just want to get out and about. Hopefully these options are up your alley. Each is a quick and inexpensive Uber/Lyft ride...just in case you don't want to drive :)
Technically a restaurant, but a great beer selection and good tunes. On a nice night they have a nice patio to hang out on. Highly recommend!

Devenney's Irish Pub

Disney Springs in and of itself is a great place to bar hop, but Jock Lindsey's is a hidden gem that never seems to be busy and has a great outdoor seating area overlooking the water. Eat somewhere else, but for a cocktail this place is great.

Non-Theme Park Activities
You're in Orlando, so you're probably hitting up a park at some point...but sometimes you want something for a rainy day. Hopefully these options are helpful!
Easy parking (you have to pay, though) and right in the heard of I-Drive. Keeps the kiddos busy and is interesting for adults too. Great option for a rainy day...and there is a pretty decent magician show at night that has a pizza buffet and was pretty entertaining and kid-friendly.

9067 International DrEasy parking (you have to pay, though) and right in the heard of I-Drive. Keeps the kiddos busy and is interesting for adults too. Great option for a rainy day...and there is a pretty decent magician show at night that has a pizza buffet and was pretty entertaining and kid-friendly.
A bit of a drive up I-4, but for younger kids this is a cool place.

Disney/Universal/Discovery Cove resources
There are tons of places to buy tickets to the Orlando-area attractions. We've never been steered wrong by Jill Sutton at Hi Ho Vacations. She can help with tickets, dining reservations, planning your day, etc. She can do Disney, Universal, Discovery Cove, Disney & Royal Caribbean cruises. Walt Disney World Resort
Stroller Rentals
If you don't want to bring your stroller with you, you can rent one and have it delivered to the resort for your arrival.
We haven't used this service, but a few of our guests have and have had great experiences. They had the stroller delivered to the front desk at Regal Palms for pick up (there is a $10 charge for the front desk to hold the stroller for your pick up).
