Beautiful old Chinese village. Accessed on foot, Pak Sha O is nestled in a remote valley beneath the shadow of Mount Hallowes. Great photographs! Minibus no 7 runs each 1/2 hr to Youth Hostel stop.

Beautiful beach with dai pai dongs/cafés! Beach accessed across stream using rickety bridge. Excellent swimming well worth the long treks from Pak Tam Rd or over hill from the reservoir and Sai Wan.

Very pretty abandoned village which is now a museum. Worth getting off the bus for! Good first stage of circular ramble over to the High Island reservoir and back to Tai Mong Tsai Rd.

Dinghies, windsurf boards, canoes and kayaks can be hired from the Water Sports Centre at Wong Shek. Expert help, tuition, courses and even lunch can be provided (please allow time for arrangements).

Wong Shek pier is the stop-off point for many who wish to board the Tsui Wah ferry to Tap Mun Island and beyond or hire kaidos/speeddboats to beaches and islands nearby.

Shopping

Incorrectly positioned on google, Fat Kee Stores are right beside the bus stop on the Tai Mong Tsai Rd next to the little river bridge to the old Sheung Yiu Folk Museum. Great for ice-cold beers!
