Food Scene

This is our go-to spot for reasonably priced American fare. It probably won't blow you away, but the food is good, the scene lively, and the staff friendly.

For a quick taco or burrito fix, this will do the trick. I generally go for the carnitas tacos.

Good, farm-to-table food in a laid back environment. The ingredients are locally sourced & fresh. If there is a wait for tables, give them your cell & head to Ost Cafe for some wine while you wait.

Our favorite place for ramen. It's on the top of a lot of other folks' lists too, though, so go before 7:00 for the 2-for-1 happy hour specials at the bar and a shorter wait for a table.

If you're looking for fresh seafood & the older New York feel, head here. The restaurant is in an old bank with a pretty, cavernous main dining room & a more intimate live jazz room downstairs.

Not really in the neighborhood, but not super far away either. It's worth the walk to experience a warming menu in an inviting environment. Careful not to get lost though, it really is down an alley.

It's a bit pricey for what it is, but their "Feast" menus (which are simply tasting menus driven by one particular ingredient) are quite tasty. The beautiful, rustic interior helps justify the cost.
