This little gem of a coffee shop is my favorite eateries in close proximity to the Airbnb. They serve coffee, shakes, sandwiches, soups, desserts and more. The outdoor seating is wonderful during warm weather. Their shop takes art on consignment from local artists. They participate in Gallery Hops several times a year. Owners Tim and Ellie are the absolute best..and food is more than reasonably priced. Located just a couple of blocks away.

I love their ASH free hamburgers, and super wonderful breakfast/brunch on the weekends. It is a quiet spot, where one can talk, without having to raise your voice to be heard. They have limited seating on the patio during warm weather. Check their website for specific hours.

French pot ice cream, sundaes, shakes and candies. My favorite place in Lexington for ice cream. Graeter's roots started in Cincinnati, Ohio as a family owned business. Well worth checking out, if you love ice cream. The photo listed here is the Graeter's location in Hamburg. They have a location in Chevy Chase that is a 15-20 minute wake...a 5 minute drive.

Sightseeing
Keeneland is the home of thoroughbred horse racing...known for beautiful landscaping and flowers for the Spring racing meet. One must try the Kentucky burgoo and bread pudding, when attending an event at Keeneland. The grounds are open for the public to enjoy the beauty of race track and grounds, even when race meets, or sales are not in session. If you are an early to riser, you can catch the horses training and exercising on the tracks-you might want to take a camera to capture the beauty of the horses on the track, in the early morning light.
