This is my go-to local bar. It has a sporty feel but everyone is welcome and they have a pool table and free bottomless popcorn! Good low-key fun.

Well, it's a little overrun with hipsters now, but this classic tiki bar was founded HELLA DAYS ago and symbolizes the beginning of tiki culture in San Francisco. It may be foggy in the city, but you can pretend you're somewhere sunny when you're kicking back on rattan couches and sipping a sweet tiki cocktail.

Breathtaking views of the Pacific in multiple directions. Great classic restaurants next door like Cliff House or Beach Chalet. It does get crowded on sunny weekend days.

This massive park has gentle hiking trails (some paved, some not) that meander through hills, forest, and dunes. There's a path down to the beach, or you can stay up high and watch the hang gliders take off from the cliffside. And perk: the whole thing is off-leash dog friendly!! Views all the way to Marin County / North Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Sutro Tower, and multiple close neighborhoods.
