The Drunken Duck Inn is the kind of pub you dream about finding: cosy, approachable, cute as a button, with a dark, welcoming bar and a rustic white dining room. It looks so much like an unspoiled country pub that you would never guess that it is also one of the most celebrated restaurants in the North of England, nor that it has its own brewery, and least of all that it's a hotel with seventeen softly sophisticated suites.
