Green Source is Missoula's only juice/smoothie bar + all-organic, fresh, healthy and mostly raw food place. The owners are fantastic. It's right off of Higgins and offers healthy, fresh, flavorful food, just across the bridge from downtown Missoula. 15 minutes from our yurt :)

Excellent food. Comfortable environment if you want to hang out for dinner and drinks. They serve excellent brunch as well and have beautiful outdoor seating that is concealed from the road nearby. We love having Saturday or Sunday brunch there with our folks and our children, because they usually aren't busy at all, the food is amazing and the kids can explore the outdoor garden while we take our time eating.

Very friendly staff, quick service and lovely environment overall. It is a bit small. But parking is free and it's just across the Higgins Bridge from downtown Missoula.

Parks & Nature
Beautiful, accessible and easy trail to hike for almost anyone. Camping is nearby. It's beautiful up there. Hike is right alongside the creek and manageable for most all hiking levels. We've taken our smaller children and they do just fine. A short, beautiful drive down the Bitterroot from our house/yurt.

Blodgett Trailhead

Beautiful place to rest and soak in a natural hot springs not far from here. Jerry Johnson is bigger and slightly closer to the Montana border than Weir. But Weir is a far better experience, if you can get there early in the day or late on a weekday evening.

The Good Food Store is Missoula's local organic food market + deli + cafe + juice/smoothie bar + more. It is a non-profit, started and still operated by local Missoulians. Beautiful building, lovely seating inside and outside. The produce is always fresh, organic and well-priced (especially when compared to other organic produce at grocery stores in town). Great place to get your groceries, sit down and eat or just grab some food to-go. We like to get their take-and-bake pizzas made fresh there for nights we don't want to cook -- or a rotisserie chicken, salad bar and dessert from the case to go. Kid-friendly environment and awesome staff.
