This is our favorite BYOB/BWOW restaurant in the Promenade Ontario neighborhood. If you want to celebrate a special occasion or a romantic dinner, this is the perfect place. It's a french bistro that offer table d'hote at a competitive price. You can even walk to the restaurant from you Airbnb. You'll need to reserve at the beginning of the week via internet if you want to go Friday/Saturday.

For a great poutine in the area, you can go to La Pataterie, the price is low and they offer other items like hot-dogs, hamburger and fries. The staff is always friendly.

Hockey Event

You can't come to Montreal during winter without assisting a Montreal Canadiens game. You'll love the electric atmosphere of our hockey team. There's a reason we are considered one of the best crowd in NHL. Be sure to buy directly from TicketMaster. If not possible, you can always buy tickets from second-hand trusted website (Billets.c a, seatgeek, StubHub). When looking for tickets, try not to be in section 400to436 as they are too far from the center ice and you'll lose some atmosphere.

Neighbourhoods

One of the most iconic place of Montreal would be the Old Port of Montreal. With is old European style building, road, restaurant and view, its the perfect place to walk during the day and enjoy what Montreal as to offer. However, keep in mind that it is known to be a rather touristy place. So be ready to look around for a parking place and to pay a higher price.

Samgöngur

Public transport is the best way to travel around the city

Montreal being the second biggest city in Canada, the public transport is a good way to travel from neighborhood to neighborhood. Very cheap and there's a bus stop directly in front of the Loft, you can hop-in the 125 West and go to Frontenac Metro. From there take the Green line (5min) to go directly to Montreal Downtown. Be sure to look on Maps for the best itinerary. The metro stop at 00:35AM weekday&sunday and 01:05AM Saturday. However, some bus run all night.

During Summer try the ''Bixi'' bicycle

As you may know, we have a public bicycle sharing system in Montreal call ''Bixi''. You can take a bicycle in one of the 700 stations across the city. There's one locate at the intersection Of Saint-Germain/Ontario (50m) from the Airbnb. The price is very low and you won’t have to be responsible for a bike once at your destination. You'll just have to drop it at a station that has a vacant spot.
