A place that we like to visit yearly and a place sacred to the ancestral Kootenai Indians who communed with spiritual forces at this stunning location. The Kootenai River first surges through China Rapids before dropping 90 feet in less than a mile with the falls having a height of 30 feet. This is where Kevin Bacon and Meryl Streep filed "River Wild" and where mostly recently Leonardo DiCaprio's; Hugh Glass plummets over the falls in the spectacular "The Revenant." It's a short hike to the falls where you can thrill in the view and the noise of the water and possibly summon your own spiritual forces.
