Cidomo (horse wagon) is the taxi of the island.
The price all around the island is a flat rate for short and long distance, IDR 150.000,-/way. Should fit 2 Adults with a luggage each.

Bicycle rental cost IDR 70.000,- to 100.000,- depending on the type. Electric bike is for local only.

Sunset time is happy time!
Everywhere is happy hour during sunset time. Another thing to save up is renting a bicycle. Gili Air is a small island that you can go from side to side within an hour on a bicycle. Instead of paying IDR 150.000,-/way with the horse wagon (Cidomo), save up by renting the bicycle for IDR 70.000,- for a whole day.

Your return boat transfer!
Yes, return. There are only few companies provide a boat to and from Gili Air. Be it coming from Bali or Lombok. Lock your seat at least 2 days in advance will make your trip hassle free.

Travelling with toddler or infant
Gili Air is a remote island. Everything is very limited. If you are travelling with kids, here is what you need to have in your travel bag:
- Milk formula (stock up your particular milk formula because the island doesn't have them all)
- Milk box
- Hypoallergenic diapers and diaper cream. It is that important since the island is pretty humid.
- Lotion, sunscreen and mosquito cream
- Change of clothes multiply by 3
- Blanket
- Baby eucalyptus oil (form the warmth)
- Thermos (for hot water)
- Instant baby food
To sterilised the bottle:
Ask the kitchen staff to boil the bottles.
