Around Saranda
If you have a chance, get out of Saranda! We recommend you head south to Ksamil and butting for a full day, or explore some beautiful natural beaches up north with a boat excursion (Kokomo and Krorez beach). Go north by car and explore the Albanian riviera (Borsh, Qeparo, Himare). And of course the blue eye, and the traditional city of Gjirokaster.
Ksamil is a very popular beach destination, not far from Saranda. We recommend to avoid ksamil beach during the months of July and august as it will be crowded unfortunately. The rest of the year, it is almost empty.
While you're there, check the Poda beach bar! You can rent a kayak and spend some time in the twin islands (Isola gamelle). For a beautiful beach in Ksamil, go a bit further to Lori beach

Mirror beach (Pasqyrave) is just located south of Saranda, on your way to ksamil. You also have Manastirit beach. Nearby, you also have Pulebardha beach, which is beautiful but the road is a bit rocky and it's challenging to park. A premium option is also to spend some time at Kep Merli. For 50€, you have 2 sofas and one umbrella, and can enjoy a private beach. Restaurant options available.
