he Oslo Opera House is the Norwegian Opera & Ballet Opera House in Bjørvika in the innermost part of the Oslo fjord. It is addressed to Kirsten Flagstads plass 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad. The house was designed by the architect and design office Snøhetta, which won an architectural competition in 2000. It opened solemnly on April 12, 2008. The building has received many awards and is protected by the Directorate of Cultural Heritage.
