A very family and children friendly castle-themed park with lots of playgrounds, a huge collection of classic cars and motorcycles, fighter jets, helicopters etc. Quite an experience and easily a whole day's trip. It is expensive but worth it.

A train museum - but not boring!! :) The kids love it, there is a lot of playgrounds and things to do for the kids, and if you're a train buff you will see a lot of old trains.

A family friendly old-timey danish village set in the 1800's. There are actors who go around dressed in appropriate clothing and there are activities for the kids. I would however think this is most fun for Danish citizens, but should be interesting for everyone.

An old beautifully restored castle in the heart of the town of Kolding. This is probably more suited for grownups but our Kids found it interesting.

A huge theme park - and it's totally free! Well, except for parking. Highly recommended for kids 4-14 years of age. There are activities for the kids, there are animals, easily a whole day can be spent here.
