Galway Bay Golf Resort Really lovely views and beside Renville Park and Galway Bay Sailing Club. Good walks. I haven't eaten here for a while but it used to be really good. A winning blend of natural beauty and golfing adventure, the championship golf course at Galway Bay Golf Resort is regarded among the very best golf courses in Ireland. When designing the course, former Ryder Cup and World Cup golfer Christy O’Connor Jnr. superbly blended the stunning backdrop of Galway Bay and the rugged curves of the Atlantic coastline with mature trees, water hazards, concealed bunkers and highly acclaimed putting surfaces. With variable wind speed and directions, this Championship golf course plays differently each day posing a considerable challenge to even the lowest handicap golfers, yet it is a true and fair test of golf. The Restaurant at Galway Bay Golf Resort The restaurant at Galway Bay Golf Resort and Kitchen is currently open for dining. The new menu offers a variety of options. Enjoy the newly expanded patio overlooking the breath-taking Galway Bay and expansive views over the Atlantic ocean. The restaurant at Galway Bay Golf Resort is currently open for indoor dining, and outdoor dining as well as call and collect options. Service is available from Wed to Sun, 12noon – 8pm and welcomes both golfers and guests. Catch up over a coffee and freshly baked scone. Refuel after a round of golf. Grab a burger. Enjoy a glass of wine or drop by for a family lunch. The new Head Chef, Andrew Lewis, has created this menu using only the best, locally sourced ingredients. “Given our location and proximity, it would be a sin not to use the fabulous fish available to us from Galway Bay”.

Basilico Delicious Italian food with a choice of Bistro or Fine Dining Restaurant Basilico Oranmore has a layered offering with both a Gastro Pub and an elegant fine dining experience. The Bistro has nightly specials which have proved hugely popular with the focus being on grills, pasta and pizza from €11 together with an extensive dinner menu. A delightful addition to the summer evenings is the extended opening hours which allows for those after-hours dinner dates with pizza served until late. The owners, Fabiano Mulas and Paolo Sabatini take pride in sourcing all the best seasonal local produce. Authentic ingredients are imported from Italy, and the excellent wines come from Cantina Lavorata in Calabria. Craft beers, a variety of specially selected gins and Italian liqueurs as well as a great pint of Guinness have given the bar a well-deserved reputation. Fabiano and Paolo have developed their own farm - Derrykeel Farm where most of the salads, onions, courgettes, tomatoes, fennel, spinach, cabbage and potatoes are grown. With the second growing season in full swing, their commitment to Farm to Fork as well as striving to be a more sustainable business is a very important part of their strategy going forward. Both cardboard and vegetable waste are composted. This passion is closely linked to their Italian roots and family tradition of farm to the table which their parents still practice to this very day in Italy. Moran's Oyster Cottage is a seafood restaurant and pub located at The Weir, Kilcolgan, in County Galway, Ireland, close to the village of Clarinbridge, and ten miles south of Galway City. Known for its seafood, including oysters and smoked salmon, the business has hosted several celebrities. Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney's poem "Oysters" was reputedly inspired by a meal at Moran's. The restaurant is located on an inlet of Galway Bay in a traditional thatched cottage and has historically been owned by members of the Moran family. Daniel Moran first obtained a liquor licence and opened a pub in the area in the 1760s. The pub began "making a business of seafood" in the 1960s, after the Galway Oyster Festival was founded. The pub and restaurant has hosted a number of celebrities, including Julia Roberts, Pierce Brosnan and the Emperor and Empress of Japan.
