Yosemite is about 1.5 hours from the cottage. Get up early and make a day of it. You won't regret it. Yosemite is one of the most beautiful places in the world. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and sunscreen!

City of Fresno/Shopping
Figarden is safe and enjoyable shopping area with many shops and restaurants. Restaurants that I recommend are Elbow Room (steaks/chops). Patio Cafe (breakfast/salads/sandwiches). Wasabi (sushi). Jack's Urban Eats (sandwiches/salads). La Boulangerie (bakery/coffee/lunch).

City/town information
The City of Clovis has a great downtown area (Pollasky Avenue) with many boutiques, antique stores and restaurants. It is about 15 minutes from the cottage. The Foundry and Revival 23 are lovely shops to browse in. House of JuJu, Blast and Brew and Bobby Salazar's are great lunch/dinner spots. Visit Kuppa Joy or On The Edge for morning coffee. If you love Thai food, visit Thai Country or Pad Thai in Clovis.

The City of Clovis has a great downtown area (Pollasky Avenue) with many boutiques, antique stores and restaurants. It is about 15 minutes from the cottage. The Foundry and Revival 23 are lovely shops to browse in. House of JuJu, Blast and Brew and Bobby Salazar's are great lunch/dinner spots. Visit Kuppa Joy or On The Edge for morning coffee. If you love Thai food, visit Thai Country or Pad Thai in Clovis.

Wild Water is large waterpark that is super close to the cottage. It is a short 5-10 minute drive. It's a perfect place to cool off on hot summer days.

Recommended Nearby Restaurants
Me N Eds pizza delivers to the house. Uber Eats and Doordash can be used for other local restaurants. There is a great Taco Truck that is very close as the corner of Shaw/Academy. At that same intersection (about 2 miles away) there is a diner called Red Caboose that has very good food and is a popular spot for locals. Velasco's Mexican Restaurant in Sanger is excellent.
