Museum of the Rockies at Montana State University is a Smithsonian Affiliate, recognized as one of the world's finest research and history museums. It is renowned for displaying an extensive collection of dinosaur fossils, including a T. rex skeleton! MOR delights visitors with changing exhibits from around the world, permanent indoor and outdoor regional history exhibits, planetarium shows, educational programs, insightful lectures, benefit events, and a museum store. Snack and beverage vending machines are located in the lower lobby. There are numerous cafes and restaurants nearby.

The Gallatin Canyon road (Hwy. 191 south from "Four Corners" west of Bozeman) offers an excellent trip. Go slow to enjoy the scenery and save your life. It is a narrow canyon tracing the Gallatin River, one of two very different rivers (the other was Paradise Valley along the Yellowstone River to the east) in the film "A River Runs Through It." Whitewater kayaking is amazing to view in the summer--or do if you are very class-5 adventurous.
Best in summer or fall.

The Land of Magic is quite remote—it's located in Logan, a small community just outside of the small town of Manhattan.
