One of my favorite Wilmington restaurants. Make a reservation and don’t miss out! Dram Yard also has a super cute outside area for cocktails. Just one block over from my place.

Pinpoint is one of my favorite ‘nice’ restaurants in Wilmington. It’s right down the street from my place on Market. Don’t miss out and make a reservation.

Indochine is a 7 minute drive outside of downtown ILM, but if you're in the mood for Thai-Vietnamese, GO. They don't take reservations though, so keep that in mind.

The George is a great place on the Riverwalk for lunch or dinner, but I'm mentioning it here because they have BRUNCH on Sunday.

Do you want southern food that tastes like someone's mama made it? This is your spot. Fried chicken, shrimp & grits, mac & cheese, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, chicken & waffles, collards, sweet tea. Ooof. It's so good.

Beach, food, & fun!

WB is less than a 20 minute drive from my place. When you head over, go hungry and stop at Tower 7 before you hit the beach for lunch. My favorite is their Tower 7 chicken burrito and then getting chips, guac, and their queso to share with a friend. That with a margarita or cold beer (the Tropical IPA is soooo good) makes for a great lunch. After you've had your beach day, stop at Shark Bar off Johnny Mercer's Pier for a cool cocktail or a bevvy of your choice and some snacks. Shark Bar is a cool space and a great place to relax for a bit before heading home and showering before heading out for a night in Downtown Wilmington.

Taken from BattleshipNC dot com, note this landmark gets rave reviews: The Battleship North Carolina Memorial was opened to the public in October 1961 as an authentically restored World War II battleship, a National Historic Landmark, a museum collecting and interpreting all ships named NORTH CAROLINA, and a memorial honoring the 11,000 North Carolinians of all branches of service who gave their lives in World War II. Visitors are encouraged to explore 9 levels of the ship, including the mess decks, berthing areas, engine room, bridge, Combat Information Center (CIC), and much more! Feel free to play with the guns, relax in the mess decks, and even take a nap in a berth! See who can spot the Battleship’s resident alligator, Charlie, from the bow first! Bring your own convoy aboard the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA and become a part of the crew! ** The Battleship North Carolina is open every day of the year, including all holidays, as She serves as a memorial. **

The Wilmington Riverwalk is a block away from my place and is a great way to start your morning. Grab a coffee (I suggest taking a slight detour and starting a couple blocks down so you can get that coffee or tea from Cheeky Monkey) and enjoy the cool air and the seabirds on the Cafe Fear River. The Riverwalk is 1.75 miles and it's a great intro to ILM. If you hang a left from my place you'll run into a number of Riverwalk restaurants that I may not have mentioned in my food section. MIchael's and The George are two spots you may want to check out if Sunday brunch is your jam (make a rez), a more casual option is Rooster & The Crow (hello, slammin' chicken & waffles) is a block off the Riverwalk in that direction as well. If you didn't know, Wilmington is where teen faves like Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill were filmed - if you're a fan, search their connection to Wilmington and you're find some fun spots you'll recognize from the shows or if you're a super fan, there are walking tours out there for you to do!

The Local Brewery Scene

Wilmington Ale Trail will show you the way to the breweries of your dreams at wilmingtonaletrail dot com (ABNB won't let me link it). Here are some of my favorites: - Edward Teach is just a coooool space in addition to having good beer. - Flytrap has good beer and a nice outside space, same with Palate. - Palate has some beers on tap but they are known as being a bottle shop. - New Anthem (Dock Street), love them too, they're steps away from my place & on the way there is a wine bar on my block.
