Beautiful views and well kept premises. A small museum explaining about the past of llata which is a traditional basket weaving of Mallorca. On Wednesdays there is the local market, so a great combo in off season but would recommend another day in high season.

A charming village which is only 10km from Capdepera. It has a great deal of Mallorcan charm mixed with artistic influences from around the world. Great experience for local market and foodhall on Tuesdays. No problem if you miss that as it has so much to see including San Salvador and an old Castle.

Canyamel offers a beautiful beach and great golfing! You can also go to the 5 star gym, pool and spa facilities which are in C'ap Vermell Country Club.
This is where fresh water meets sea, so those who enjoy bird watching will be very happy to sit by the river and observe our local fauna and animals. There are some beautiful locations if you do not enjoy the typical sandy beaches in an area called Costa de Cañyamel.

I recommend there brunch or breakfast because it is simply devine. Service is great and views spectacular.

I think the drive or walk up is always stunning. If you park and walk make sure to take in the breathtaking views of Parque Natural. You can drink water from the mountains and it is a wonderfully peaceful setting for a picnic or walks in every direction and difficulty.

If you can bring a picnic and if not go after to Orient to the most famous restaurant in the area which specialises in lamb.

Maria is a wonderful cook from the south of Spain. It is perhaps not the most beautiful of settings but the tapas and menu del dia is fantastic. In winter on Sundays there is always homemade churros and chocolate. She also does specials such as lechona on Sundays throughout the year. Not expensive and very Spanish atmosphere mixed with the foreigners who have moved here.

It is an awesome dune beach just 5 minutes drive or a hour walk through pine tree woods and by the sea. Beware on wavey days as it is one of the most dangerous beaches because of the currents but on calm days the beauty is breathtaking and you have chiringuitos to refresh yourselves or grab a bite to eat.

It is an awesome dune beach just 5 minutes drive or a hour walk through pine tree woods and by the sea. Beware on wavey days as it is one of the most dangerous beaches because of the currents but on calm days the beauty is breathtaking and you have chiringuitos to refresh yourselves or grab a bite to eat.
One of our many local virgin beaches. You can take a two hour hike there or if you prefer take your car and park and walk a bit. Make sure to bring a picnic and lots of water to this location.

Beautiful beaches and a great walk from Cala Ratjada. There is a small finca hotel there where you can visit to eat, drink and have a dip in there salt water pool if you ask. There are coastal beaches, the infamous N'aladern for the locals and the small font de sa cala beach which has sunbeds and umbrellas to rent as well as pedalos. Tiny tip, if you go on the right side of the beach if facing the sea you will notice a fresh water supply which comes from the underground.

Tiny tip, if you go on the right side of the beach if facing the sea you will notice a fresh water supply which comes from the underground.
A picture says more than a thousand words. Simply breathtaking but sadly too full in summer. I recommend walking along the promenade in the evening if it is the height of the season and enjoying the beauty of this captivating beach in the moonlight. Until June and after October this is my favourite winter beach as it is sheltered.

Apart from being simply beautiful it is part of a national park and protected beach. I personally wish they would do more in summer months to protect its natural beauty but things are most definitely getting better and if snorkelling is your thing I recommend going along the coast. Try not to wear too much sun screen and instead buy adequate protective clothing to protect the beach and wildlife for future generations.

Cala Agulla
Apart from being simply beautiful it is part of a national park and protected beach. I personally wish they would do more in summer months to protect its natural beauty but things are most definitely getting better and if snorkelling is your thing I recommend going along the coast. Try not to wear too much sun screen and instead buy adequate protective clothing to protect the beach and wildlife for future generations.
