On the corner with Drapperie, where there is a plaque in memory of Father Marella, who collected money for the poor at this point, there are inviting shops and the entrance to the ancient Tamburini salsamenteria (place where cold meats and cheese are sold). Since 1932, taking over an activity that began in 1860, the family has offered traditional cold meats and cheese and culinary specialities from Bologna, from the famous tortellini to the most refined and unique recipes. There is also a tasting room.

Passing under the Porta Govese or Torresotto dei Piella you reach the famous window on the Canale delle Moline and the bridge, both overlooking the canal. This corner of the city is known as "little Venice". Looking out among the buildings, you can see one of the few stretches of running water, which was not covered with asphalt between the beginning of the twentieth century and the postwar period.
Canale delle Moline is the extension of Canale di Reno. For the most part of its route the channel is locked between the houses and for this reason in the past it has long been hidden from view. Now it is possible to see it through small windows in via Oberdan, via Malcontenti

It is the oldest park of Bologna and it has always been a location used for performances, games and sport competitions. This park is open to the public since 1664. The current plan is to be dated back to the first years of the 19th century, when Napoleon ordered the architect G.B Marinetti to redesign it in the French style. In 1896, in the park, were built a monumental flight of stairs and a circular basin in the middle of the garden.
In Montagnola, there are also centuries-old plane trees from the Napoleon period.
