Belton House is a Grade I listed country house in the parish of Belton near Grantham in Lincolnshire, less than an hour away from Fenton. Now managed by the National Trust, the house was built between 1685 and 1688 and is open to the public. The grounds host stunning gardens, orangeries, and fields full of wildlife including deer, sheep, wild birds and much more! There is an indoor play center, a mini family railway train, and several large play areas with picnic benches, lawns, lakes, a small waterfall and woodlands. There are several cafes on-site, flowers and gift shops and a book store. Please note, you now have to book online through the National Trust site to visit. This is to manage the number of visitors in the grounds and touring the house.
