If you walk into Sabanillas and of the promenade you will find some reasonable prices restaurants where the locals eat also Castillo has great restaurants. In the summer months all the chirinquitos (beach restaurants) are open which are great for relaxing, good for families also who can watch their children play on the beach and unwind with a nice cocktail.
Also look out for menu del dias Monday to Fridays normally between the hours of 1-3.30 a special priced lunch menu
