We request that you close and lock all doors when you are sleeping and when you are not in your room. If you take the normal precautions you would at home unnecessary loss can be avoided. We sincerely hope that you will enjoy your stay here with us and we will endeavor to make it as comfortable for you as possible. Our reception is open 24 hours. Money

Most businesses accept U.S dollars; however your change will be in colones, which is the local currency. The difference in the rate of exchange that the banks offer varies. We have a very limited cash box at the reception thus we are not able to do money exchanges. Local banks in Manuel Antonio & Quepos give the best rate. Banco Promerica and Banco Costa Rica are located up the street across from Hotel Villa Roca and Plaza Vista in front of Café Milagro and do cash advances, they are open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 11am to 5pm. They now have two 24hr ATM machines as well.

Safety tips

Do not bring valuables to the beach and leave them unattended.... you will lose them. Locking valuables in your car trunk is also very risky as the thieves frequently break the windows to pop open the trunk. Exercise the same caution you would at home with regard to walking alone at night & talking to strangers as this area now has its fair share of “hustlers.” Parking on the side of the road in the beach area is prohibited and penalized by the police (they can now take your license plates!). If people with whistles attempt to make you pull over, we strongly advise that you ignore them.
